- Microsoft publishes updates in these same links, which means there isn't any need to update the links.
- File size: C2R office installer files are unified. It means that for example, Office 2021 ProPlus, Excel, and OneNote, will all have the same size. Online installer consumes less data because it downloads files for only one system architecture whereas Offline file contain both architectures.
- File version: Online installer always installs the latest Office version whereas the Offline version is often 5-6 months old and Office will need updates once installed.
- Advanced users: If you want to customize your Office installation or want pure Volume installation, use this ODT method of Office installation.

Microsoft 365 is superior to Office 2024 because it includes following features that are only available with 365.
- Designer in PowerPoint
- Microsoft Editor in Word
- Latest Formulas in Excel
- Premium Fonts & Icons
- Accessibility Enhancements
Microsoft 365 receive regular updates with new features and improvements across all applications. In contrast, Office 2024 only receives security updates without new feature additions.
Error in Office Installation

- If Office installation is showing that it can't install on selected updated channel or there's any other error then,
- Download Office Scrubber
- Extract the downloaded zip file
- Run
OfficeScrubber.cmdfile as admin and select Scrub ALL option - Let the process complete, it may take 10-15 minutes.
- If Office installation is still showing error then try Offline installer file.
Russian users need to follow this guide to bypass geoblock in Office downloading.

On Windows 7 and 8.1, use the Office 2016 Offline file to install Office. Newer versions of Office are not supported on older operating systems.

On **Windows 10/11 ARM64**, if online installer isn't working then use the offline file to install Office. O365 provides the most and latest features. If you want more apps, choose O365ProPlusRetail, and if you want fewer apps, use O365AppsBasicRetail.
